Trip Information 

•Recreation & Parks Department will need name, date of birth, address, phone number, and emergency number of each person registering for a trip. 

•Before participating in any program or event sponsored by the Recreation & Parks Department a waiver must be signed by the participant or responsible parent/guardian. Registration/Waiver Form 

•Trip return times are approximate and may change due to unforeseen circumstances and traffic.

•Refunds - Refunds for trips may vary due to non-refundable tickets or fees. Refund requests made prior to the trip deadline date will be given less a 5% refund fee. Cancellations made by Recreation & Parks are not subject to the 5% refund fee. Online registration fees are non-refundable. Please note: Refunds for purchases made by credit card are processed back to the credit card. Refunds for purchases made by cash or check are processed with a check (within ten business days) through the Village of Park Forest Finance Department.

•Nothing kills a good trip quicker than waiting until the last minute to register! Please sign up early or the trip that you want may have to be cancelled.

•Credit/debit card transactions are processed through Active Network, LLC.

Memphis The Musical 
This Trip is filled.  Please call 708-748-2005 to be placed on a waiting list. 

From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis, Tennessee, comes the Tony Award winning Best Musical that bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love. Inspired by actual events, Memphis is the story of a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer who is ready for her big break. Their incredible journey to the ends of the airwaves is filled with laughter, soaring emotion and a roof-raising musical score by David Bryan of the band Bon Jovi. The show will take place at the Ruth Page Theatre for the Arts.  

Prior to the show we will be dining at Ditkas where we will have salad, your choice of Macadamia Nut Crusted Tilapia, Chicken Piccata or Fusilli Calabrese with Raspberry Sorbet for dessert. Please mention menu choice when registering. Motor coach transportation. Trip is non-refundable. Registration deadline: April 23.

The Lady with all the Answers 
Popular advice columnist Ann Landers had a life which seemed letter-perfect. With more than 90 million readers each day, she had a quick wit which could be comical and creative, as well as sharp and shocking, all in the same sentence. It is 1975 when we join Landers in her Lakeshore Drive apartment in Chicago. She shares some of her most fascinating stories as she prepares to write the most difficult column of her career.

Lunch and show is at the Theatre at the Center in Munster, Indiana.  
Menu: Tossed Garden Salad with choice of 3 Dressings, choose from
Grilled Boneless Pork Chop or Grilled Chicken Breast served with
Corn Bread Stuffing, Green Beans and ButterPecan Ice Cream for dessert.

Relax and enjoy all the scenic beauty of the lake as you cruise around Geneva Lake.  You will view all the surrounding unique estates including Black Point Estate, the Yerkes Observatory and Villages of Williams Bay and Fontana. Enjoy lunch at The Baker House, a historic bed and breakfast restaurant overlooking Geneva Lake. The staff is dressed in clothes from the period and there is a wall of vintage hats for the guests to wear during their dining experience.

We realize a trip to Lake Geneva isn’t complete until you head downtown to do a bit of shopping. Lake Geneva’s ever popular, quaint downtown is a delight for the seasoned shopper. With blocks of charming boutiques mixed in with unique eateries as well as a beach, park and library, the town’s charming shopping district offers entertainment for all.

Route 66 Tour
"A few Kicks on Route 66." Travel along the original world-famous Route 66 from Joliet to Pontiac. We will have photo ops of some of the icons on the route, including the Polk-a-Dot Restaurant, the Gemini Giant and many others. We will hear the history of the famous road along with that of the towns along the way. There will be museum stops in Joliet and the Route 66 Museum in Pontiac. Lunch will be at Bernardi's Restaurant in Pontiac. Each person will also receive an Illinois Route 66 map.

Ghost the Musical
This musical adaptation of the 1990 Academy Award winning film follows the love story of Sam and Molly.  After Sam’s untimely death, he tries to protect Molly from an unknown threat. In an attempt to communicate with her, he enlists the help of a storefront psychic to hilarious and harrowing effect. This tale about the power of love     features a score by Grammy Award winning songwriters Dave Stewart and
Glen Ballard, and includes the classic “Unchained Melody”.
