Car Seat Assistance Program

Over the past 10-15 years, the Park Forest Fire Department (PFFD) has become a leader in the south suburbs in assisting and instructing caregivers on the proper installation of car seats. The Park Forest Fire Department has several child passenger safety technicians on staff. This is a passionate program for the PFFD, given the number of accidents involving unrestrained children we respond to annually. It is the PFFD's goal for this program to educate the public about car seats, provide assistance with the proper installation of car seats, and ensure the safety of children through this car seat program.
