Local business owners are invited to learn how to cut costs and enhance sustainability during an upcoming information session on the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program. The event will be held on Wednesday, Sept.17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the 1916 Business & Media Center at 1916 174th St., East Hazel Crest.
This free session aims to demonstrate how businesses can save money and energy through ComEd’s various efficiency programs and incentives. Attendees will gain insights into free energy assessments, authorized service providers, and rebates that can cover up to 75% of project costs. The session will also highlight energy-efficient equipment options that operate at lower costs.
Refreshments will be provided for attendees.
“This is a great opportunity for Park Forest business owners to hear directly from ComEd experts about ways to reduce overhead,” said Carrie Malfeo, Park Forest Sustainability Coordinator. “Energy efficiency doesn't just benefit the environment; it can also significantly impact a business's bottom line.”
Malfeo noted that participating in the program can help local businesses become more competitive.
“When our small businesses save money on energy costs, they can reinvest those savings into growth, staffing, or improvements in the community,” Malfeo added.
The event is hosted in partnership with the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP online through the Chamber’s website.
