Be the fox, following your daily routine along Thorn Creek trails! On “Vixen’s Trek”
Saturday, March 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. we’ll look for signs of active bird and mammal neighbors. Call and listen to find your fox mate and prey, scout out den sites for spring, sniff and mark logs, cache food, mark your territory, and above all, keep out of the way of the coyotes!
This program to see Thorn Creek Woods from the vulpine perspective is sponsored by Thorn Creek Audubon Society in a partnership with Thorn Creek Nature Center to provide quality environmental education in our area.
The “Vixen’s Trek” is a free program is for children younger than 12 years old. Children younger than 6 years must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required by Thursday, March 23.

http://tcwoods.org. The nature center is open Friday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. and trails are open daily, dawn to dusk. There are many volunteer opportunities at the preserve such as staffing the nature center open hours, trail work, office skills, baking, assisting at programs and more.
