Park Forest was designed to provide housing for veterans returning from WWII, earning it the nickname "GI Town". It was the first and most complete planned community built after the war. Within its borders are over 350 acres of parks and wooded open space nestled in housing reflecting an experiment in mid-century, mass-produced manufacturing. The central shopping district includes murals and sculpture.

The approximately 14-mile ride will visit numerous sites including architecturally significant churches, the Park Forest Historical Society Museum, and conclude at the internationally recognized Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University. Bike helmet required. Lunch will be provided. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-Registration required. Registration Deadline: September 23.
