When will the HCV waiting list open?

The Housing Authority of Park Forest’s Housing Choice Voucher (formerly Section 8) Program waiting list recently closed on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023. Unfortunately, the Housing Authority cannot determine when the waiting list will re-open. 

Can I still apply?

Not at this time. You can only apply when the waiting list is open. When that occurs, the Housing Authority will provide a public notice here and local newspapers.

How can I check my status if I submitted a pre-application during the open period?

Please refrain from contacting the office for application status information.

You may login to parkforest.housingmanager.com to check your application's status or make any necessary changes.

APPLICANTS ADDED TO THE WAITLIST WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL TO RECERTIFY ONCE A YEAR. IF YOU FAIL TO RECERTIFY, YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE WAITLIST.
