B.I.C.Y.C.L.E Program

The Park Forest Police Department B.I.C.Y.C.L.E. program (Better Involvement Concerning Young Children’s Learning Experience), uses vehicle seizure and asset forfeiture funds to provide one bicycle each month to every elementary school in Park Forest, to be given away by the school through in-house incentive programs. Bikes are raffled off for those students who attained the goals dealing with positive behavior set out by the individual schools, and police personnel are present during the awarding of bicycles, helping keep connections with our schools and the students they serve. In 2017 the Police Department gave away 50 bicycles, helmets, and locks in the program and an additional 12 bicycles were given away at community events such as Unity Day and Youth Day, all at no cost to tax payers. Bike Raffle
