INVITATION FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois, that sealed bids will be received for the following contract:

PROPOSALS FOR WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS 

SALT – SODIUM CHLORIDE

BULK CARBON DIOXIDE

BULK SODA ASH-LIGHT

BULK HIGH CALCIUM QUICKLIME

Sealed bids will be received by 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois, and will be publicly opened and read at that time.

Bid forms, and specifications are available at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois.

Bid forms, and specifications are also available to view for free at the Village website, www.vopf.com under “Bids and RFPs” link. 

This work shall consist of supply and delivery of Salt – Sodium Chloride, Bulk Carbon Dioxide, Bulk Soda Ash – Light, and High Calcium Quicklime (Calcium Oxide - granular). Bidders may bid on one or more chemicals. Each item will be considered on an individual basis and may be awarded on an individual basis.  

The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue plans, bid forms, and specifications to any 

person, firm, or corporation that it considers to be unqualified.   Proposals must be submitted on 

the forms provided. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of 

the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to 

accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to 

make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village
