The Village of Park Forest invites residents and neighbors to participate in RecycleFest on Saturday, July 26, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will take place in the parking lot across the street from the Park Forest Police Department, located at 200 Lakewood Boulevard RecycleFest.
RecycleFest is Park Forest’s annual drive-through event for hard-to-recycle items, focused on giving unwanted household goods a second life. With an emphasis on reuse before recycling, numerous community partners will be present to accept a wide variety of items, including electronics, toys, and textiles, for responsible reuse or recycling.
Participants should sort and label items by category, placing them in the trunk or back seat of their vehicles. Volunteers will be available to unload items, making the process quick and easy.
Entry to the event is off of Forest Boulevard into the Liberty Drive parking lot. Signage will direct vehicles through the event.
