Residents in the Westbridge Apartments area, near the intersection of Western and Steger, can expect water disruptions, as the Department of Public Works will replace a water valve in the area. This work will be scheduled for Monday, June 5, at 8 a.m. and is weather dependent.
Officials with DPW said it's still being determined what time on Monday residents may experience the water disruption. Still, they noted that this project typically takes a few hours to complete. Out of an abundance of caution, the Village is sending out a CodeRed alert to people near the intersection of Western and Steger to alert them.
Additionally, officials said the outage may extend into the south east portion of the community, specifically the triangle of Sauk, Monee and South Orchard.
The CodeRED Emergency Notification System is an ultra-high-speed telephone communication service designed to deliver emergency messages and distribute important information in all or specific areas of the Village.
