The Village of Park Forest is endorsing a program in partnership with Solstice and Buy Commercial Energy that can create even more Green Power with the Illinois Solar for All Program.
This program will allow residents to support local solar energy without installing solar panels on their property. It is all part of the State of Illinois’ goal to be 100% Green Power by 2050, and therefore there are incentives.
Any income-eligible resident participating in the program will be guaranteed 50% savings off their energy supply cost and a $100 Sign-up bonus.
You can enroll in this program online from the Park Forest website, the Solstice website www.solstice.us/parkforest, or by calling 866-826-1997.
You will receive mailings, an insert in your water bill, and many in-person events to promote participation and explain the process in more detail.
In an effort to help the Park Forest community, there will be several in-person events to answer questions and assist in enrolling:
• 2/16/2023 – 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Park Forest Village Hall
• 3/8/2023 – 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wetlands Discovery Center
• 4/8/2023 – 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Park Forest Village Hall
