The Village of Park Forest is rolling out its 2025-26 vehicle sticker, which will go on sale on March 1.
Residents can purchase their stickers either online or in person at Village Hall. This year's design will emphasize the Village's commitment to sustainability while showcasing the Park Forest Water Treatment Plant, an essential component of the community's infrastructure.
Communications Coordinator Joshua Vinson explained that the Village staff collaborates each year to devise innovative and strategic concepts highlighting the community's distinctive characteristics. These stickers remind residents of the Village's ecological initiatives and celebrate the benefits and achievements that contribute to the overall well-being of residents and the environment.
According to Vinson, the goal of creating these stickers is to promote and showcase Park Forest.
"Over the last few years, we've highlighted the Jolley Trolley, informed residents about the significant grant money the Village has received, and recently celebrated our 75th anniversary," said Vinson.
Vinson added, "This year, we are featuring the newly repainted water tower at the Park Forest Water Treatment Plant. We want to explain how the Village is saving money by installing solar panels at the plant and remind residents about the award-winning quality of our water."
When residents purchase their vehicle stickers, they will receive an informational card that explains the design of this year's sticker.
To avoid late fees and fines, all vehicle stickers must be purchased and properly displayed on vehicles registered in the Village of Park Forest by the end of the business day on April 30, 2025. A late fee of $25 will be charged for all vehicle sticker purchases made on or after May 1, and a late fee of $50 will apply to purchases made on or after Aug. 1.
Fees will increase as follows: stickers purchased from May 1 through July 31 will cost $75, while stickers purchased on Aug. 1 and later will be $125. Vehicles will be considered delinquent after Oct. 31.
