Village of Park Forest - Sustainability News

[ARCHIVED] Just announced: FREE Document Destruction Event, September 13

The Village of Park Forest, in partnership with the Will County Land Use Department, will hold a document destruction event on Saturday, September 13, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., in DownTown Park Forest at the corner of Main Street and Cunningham Drive.

Residents may bring personal documents, old check stubs, bank statements, old files, IRS tax forms, and other miscellaneous paper documents for destruction. Documents will be shredded on site by Shark Shredding Inc.

Items not accepted include newspapers, school assignments, metal items, corrosives, hazardous waste, food waste and wet documents.

The event is restricted to residents only. Residents may bring two file boxes maximum per vehicle. Businesses may not take part in this event.

Residents must be in line by 11 am for any documents to be accepted.

This event is sponsored by the Will County Land Use Department, Resource Recovery and the Village of Park Forest.
