The Department of Public Works this week continues its efforts to clear debris left behind from a powerful storm that caused major damage earlier this month.
Crews are currently moving through the Lincolnwood neighborhood and will then continue work on the south end of town. Work in some of the hardest hit areas – including the W streets and Park Forest’s central portion – has been completed.
The clean-up process for the Village has taken longer than expected due to the high number of limbs and branches being collected.
Residents wishing to expedite the process can bring collected debris to a designated drop-off location at the northeast corner of Westwood Drive and Forest Boulevard.
As a reminder to residents with smaller branches to be picked-up, Star Disposal will collect bundled branches five feet in length or less with no branch being greater than four inches in diameter.
