The Park Forest Recreation Department offers trips throughout the year. Trips are listed in the Recreation & Parks brochure and on the Recreation & Parks website at villageofparkforest.com.

PARK FOREST SENIOR CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMISSION
The Senior Citizens Advisory Commission discusses issues related to the elders of the community and assists in the planning of educational and health-focused events for seniors.

The commission meets on the first Thursday of each month. Park Forest residents interested in serving on the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission may complete an application at the Village Manager’s office at Village Hall. For additional information on applying for the commission, please call 708-283-5605.

JOLLY TROLLEY TRANSPORTATION
Adults ride for $3. A transfer for an adult is 30 cents as long as the adult passenger boards the second bus within two hours of getting off the first bus. Seniors (65+), disabled persons, and students ride for $1.50. A transfer for seniors, disabled persons, and students is 15 cents as long as these passengers board the second bus within two hours of getting off the first bus. Kids under seven years old ride for free with a fare-paying adult.

The Jolly Trolley picks up passengers on the hour and half-hour at Orchard Park Plaza and at Village Hall in Park Forest. Besides the regular Park Forest stops like the Park Forest Public Library and the Park Forest Village Hall, destinations also include the Matteson Metra Station. (Owned and operated by The Village of Park Forest).


RICH TOWNSHIP SENIOR CENTER
Many senior services and activities are available to all Park Forest Seniors at the Rich Township Senior Center in Downtown Park Forest at 297 Liberty. For more information, call 708-748-5454 Website: richtownship.org.
