In 2019, Lyric’s larger-than-life new production and company premiere of West Side Story took Chicago by storm with sold-out performances. With the lush sound of the Lyric Orchestra playing the original orchestrations and a cast called “expansive” by the Chicago Tribune, seeing a Broadway classic this way is a rare treat.

Prior to the show, enjoy a three-course meal on the patio terrace of 4-Star rated River's Restaurant overlooking the Chicago River. Menu choices must be selected at registration, including:

· Chicken Penne
Transportation is via luxury motor coach bus.

Our Full-Day Neighborhood Food Tour gives you at the chance to explore Chicago's foodie scene to its fullest. Explore the city's legendary bakeries in neighborhoods around the city, and discover Chicago's immigrant roots with incredible food with roots around the world, including Italian, Polish, German and many more. Let your guide take you to his/her favorite candy shop in town, meet owners and hear the stories of restaurants that have been local favorites for generations, if time allows you'll also get behind the scenes at a local coffee roastery, and try some tasty desserts at a chocolate factory. In between food stops, we'll see the iconic historic and architectural sights of the city, you'll experience a wonderful variety of neighborhoods, and you'll get your fill of the city's history, art and culture. Luxury Motor Coach Transportation is provided.

•The Department of Recreation, Parks & Community Health will need the name, date of birth, address, phone number, and emergency number of each person registering for a trip.
•Before participating in any program or event sponsored by the Department of Recreation, Parks & Community Health, a waiver must be signed by the participant or responsible parent/guardian.
•Trip return times are approximate and may change due to unforeseen circumstances and traffic.
•In the event of low enrollment, a luxury passenger van may be substituted for a motorcoach bus.
•Vaccines or proof of negative COVID-19 results may be required according to venue mandates.
Refunds - Refunds for trips may vary due to non-refundable tickets or fees. Refund requests made prior to the trip deadline date will be given less than a 5% refund fee. Cancellations made by the Department of Recreation, Parks & Community Health are not subject to the 5% refund fee. Online registration processing fees are non-refundable. Refunds may be processed as a household credit or a check through the Village of Park Forest Finance Department. Please allow 10 business days for a refund by check.
Credit/debit card transactions are processed through Active Network, LLC. Active Network, LLC may appear on your credit card/bank statement as the merchant for your trip purchase; rather than Village of Park Forest, Department of Recreation, Parks, & Community Health.
