Stage Two of the Orchard Drive Construction Project begins on Friday, May
18, 2012.
In Stage 2, Orchard
Drive becomes a northbound one-way street from Lakewood to Route 30. Southbound is detoured to Western
Avenue south, going west on Main Street, turning north on Forest Boulevard, and
ending west to Lakewood Boulevard. There will be detour signs indicating
where to turn along the detour route.
The intersections of Indianwood Boulevard at
Orchard Drive and Main Street at Orchard Drive will also be resurfaced including
new curb and gutter and sidewalk. Since this work is south of the detour,
traffic in both directions will be maintained with daytime lane
closures.
For those residents living along Orchard Drive,
access to your property will be maintained except when curb and gutter,
sidewalk, and driveway work is being constructed adjacent to your property.
Parking on any of the side streets is encouraged, however all Village ordinances
regarding parking on one side of the street and overnight parking will still be
enforced. The contractor has been instructed to notify you if access to your
property will be disrupted.
