Fees for traditional permits are based on the job cost. All contractors doing work within the village limits of Park Forest must be licensed by the Village. Fees are detailed below.
The Building Department issues several types of permits. You will need a permit for the kinds of work described below, whether you do the work yourself or employ a contractor for the job. Building Permit forms are available from the Building Department - 350 Victory Drive, second floor at the Village Hall.
To apply for a permit you will need the permit application, the permit fee, and a copy of the proposal your contractor (licensed by the Village of Park Forest) has given you. If your licensed contractor is applying for the permit, we require the homeowner's signature on either the proposal or the building permit application.
