2012-2013 Business Resource Guide


BUSINESS REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS
 


Please click on the link below to fill out your application online.  Then follow these steps:

  • When all the necessary fields have been completed, print-out the Business Registration Application.  If you have any questions about the application, please use the instructions and information link below. 
  • Please initial mandatory Sections 16, 20 and 21 and sign the application at the bottom of the page.  (Designated areas are highlighted in yellow.)  
  • When completed, please mail, deposit in drop-box, or come in person with your completed application(s) and required back-up paperwork for evaluation of total application fee to the Economic Development & Planning Department located on the 2nd Floor in Village Hall.  Our hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

In the majority of cases, a certificate can be issued within 7 to 10 business days upon receipt of the application and applicable fees.

Section 15

You have a security alarm system – be sure you have a Security Alarm Permit completed, which will be forwarded to the Police Department for processing.

Per the Park Forest Police Department, a background check will be required for any owner, instructor, coach or voluntary assistant for any business whose primary goal is the instruction or care of children.  This background check will be conducted by the Park Forest Police Department and may include a fingerprint check run through the Illinois State Police Bureau of Information.

In some instances, the Village of Park Forest requires inspections and/or investigations prior to issuance of the business certificate and before a business can operate.  (A liquor license does require approval of the Village Mayor.)
