HOUSING AUTHORITY OF PARK FOREST
 The Housing Authority of Park Forest administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program (formally called section 8) for the Park Forest area. HCV program is an income eligible HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) program that enables families to seek out suitable housing that they otherwise would not be able to afford.
The Housing Authority enters into a contract with the landlord to provide housing assistance payments on behalf of the family. The Housing Authority must reexamine the family's composition and income at least annually and must inspect each unit at least annually to ensure that it meets minimum housing quality standards.
