BITTY BALL PRACTICE SCHEDULE: 

Pre-K-Kindergarten Practice  - Practice will be held at Talala School (430 Talala St., Park Forest, IL)
on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm.

Bitty Ball Winter League

Bitty Ball Fall League is a fundamentally driven division specifically for our smallest hoopers in grades Pre-K (must be 4 years old) to 2nd grade. Boys and girls will learn the basics of basketball, build confidence, develop teamwork and learn social skills in a positive and structured setting. Youth will participate in games where coaches will continue to emphasize skill development while promoting healthy competition. Basketball goals are lowered to 8 feet, and appropriate youth-sized basketballs are used. All participants will receive a uniform, and awards will be distributed at the end of the season. Spectator fee may apply. No refunds will be given under any circumstance. Please ensure accuracy in child's uniform size when registering as replacement uniforms will not be issued.

Practices will be held during the week and games will be played on Sunday afternoons starting in January. Child will be assigned a specific practice time in December (either 6-7pm or 7:15-8:15pm).

Registration deadline is December 9, 2016.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Rich East High School starting
at 1:00 pm.


Volunteers help make our programs possible. If you are interested in coaching or refereeing, please contact the Recreation Manager at (708) 283-5650. The Bitty Ball Coaches Meeting will be held on Saturday October 29th at 10 at Park Forest Village Hall for any interested coaches for the 2016-17 Winter Season are encouraged to attend.

Park Forest Youth Basketball League (PFYBL)
The PFYBL is a recreational league for boys and girls in grade 3rd-8th. In addition to emphasizing the fundamentals of the sport (passing, shooting, ball-handling and defense) participants will learn the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship. Youth will be assigned to a team that will play in competitive games with standings being updated weekly. Most games are played on Saturday mornings/afternoon. Other participating communities may be included. All participants will receive a uniform, with awards being distributed at seasons end. Practices and game locations may vary. Spectator fee may apply. Bitty Cheer - New!
We are proud to present. Bitty Cheer! This New Cheer Program is designed for our baby dancers and cheerleaders. Participants in this program will focus on the fundamentals of cheer and the importance of rhythm and will cheer at Bitty Ball league games during the season on Sundays.  All participants will receive uniform and year end awards. Practice location may vary. Program is led by Shaunita Jones.

Bitty Ball Spring Camp
Specifically designed for your bitty baller, participants will learn the basics of basketball in a fun, learning environment. The camp will alternate each week between a skills camp experience and scrimmages where parents can encourage their child and see their progress. Cristina Baines instructs the class.

PF Pride Basketball Academy Clinics
The PF Pride Basketball Academy will be hosting clinics every Sunday to better prepare young ball players for their respective seasons.

Players, grades 3rd-High School, will work on drills to improve IQ, ball handling, shooting, defense and footwork. Boys and Girls are welcome. Game situations and scrimmages will also take place. Program is led by Randall White and the PF Pride Coaching Staff.

PF Pride Basketball
The PF Pride Basketball Program is a youth basketball travel basketball program available to boys grades 3rd-12th. The 2017 season includes tournaments, with weekly practices beginning in late winter/early spring. For tryout information please visit the Park Forest Pride on Facebook.


PF Excite! Cheer-PFYBL
Go Park Forest! Go Fight Win! The New PF Excite! Cheer Program is designed for our young dancers and cheerleaders. Participants in this program will combine cheers, jumps, dances and stunts and will cheer at PFYBL basketball league games during the season on Saturdays. Competition may also be held. All participants will receive uniform and year end awards. Practice location may vary. Program is led by Shaunita Jones. Registration deadline: December 2.

*Payment plan available: $45 due at registration with the balance of $40 due by January 2, 2017. An additional $10 payment plan fee is due at registration. Please register at the Recreation & Parks Department to complete the payment plan paperwork.

Coach Ben's Soccer Winter Camp
Coach Ben Oparanozie is a US Soccer Class B Coach who has played and coached professionally in India and Nigeria. There is no better coach in the Chicagoland area! Learn ball skills, advanced passing and amazing defense. If soccer is your game, Coach Ben is your man! No class Saturday, December 24. 

*Multi-child discount available (must reside in the same household). Multi-child discount is not available through on-line registration system. Please register at the Recreation & Parks Department or register over the phone with a credit card to receive the multi-child discount.

Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a Korean style method of unarmed self defense and sport. The Word Tae means leg (foot), Kwon means hand or (fist) and Do stands for the way of mental discipline to repel aggression. It is also an Olympic Sport. Taekwondo does not mean fighting, but it symbolizes the cultivation of a well-rounded character in it's practitioners, through self-respect, indomitable spirit of discipline, coordination and control. Program is led by World Champion, Master Ben Effiok.

Uniform is required at an additional fee of $55 due first day of class to the instructor (one-time fee).

Karate (Youth & Adult)  
Wado Ki Karate places an emphasis on proper attitude, discipline, self-confidence, coordination and flexibility. Students are separated after stretching according to their rank and age. Uniforms and rank certification are available from the instructor for an additional fee.

This year-round program is designed to take students all the way to black belt. Classes are instructed by certified black belts and are led by Master Roger Jerome. No class September 5, September 26, Oct 17 and November 21.

2017 Park Forest Men’s Softball Leagues
Park Forest will continue to offer 2 different softball leagues this season. Our Monday Men’s Recreational League is for teams who are just looking to have some fun and enjoy the game, while our Thursday Men’s Premier League is for those  competitive teams looking to play against the best.

Team sign ups only. Registration deadline is Monday, April 24th.

Season length depends on total number of teams registered. Team rosters must be submitted at the time of registration with signed waivers by all members. No games May 29th.
