Jr Counselors Training (9 am-5 pm)  - New Program!
The Junior Counselors Training (JCT) program provides a unique opportunity for youth to build leadership skills, and invest in their own future.  The goals of JCT are to teach the general skills of leadership that can be used at school, home and the community.  The curriculum includes assisting Camp Leaders and Counselors in activities such as team building, critical thinking skills, planning and leading activities while developing and maintaining a safe camp environment.  Through hands-on experience and guidance from staff and supervisors, the JCTs become better prepared for any future work with children, in and out of a camp setting.  Participants provide their own lunch, swimsuit, towel and concession money. No camp on July 4th.

Enrollment is limited and includes an application and interview process with the Camp Director before you can register for the program. JCT application is available at the Recreation & Parks Department or click here to download the Jr. Counselor Training Application.
