The Committee for Non-Partisan Local government in Park Forest is presently seeking additional members of the Board of Directors.
The Committee bylaws provide for nine Board of Director members. The Committee presently has five Board members. The Non-Partisan Committee was established in 1955 as a not-for-profit organization, which supports and maintains non-partisan local government. Opportunities are provided for Park Forest Village candidates to meet the public at several forums held during an election year. Committee membership is open any Park Forest resident who pays the dues established by the Board of Directors.
If you are interested in helping to continue the Park Forest tradition of truly non-partisan elections, please send a message to: parkforestnonpartisancommittee@gmail.com. You may also access the Committee website at: pfnpc.org or on Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/parkforestnpc
From now until about November 2022, the board will meet no more than once per month, if there is business to conduct. Starting in the November 2022, the board will meet more frequently to plan for the 2023 elections, prepare a packet of information for prospective candidates circulating petitions, meet with candidates, schedule candidate forums and manage the forums.
