Volunteering for Park Forest
The Village of Park Forest is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing volunteers who are knowledgeable about Park Forest, or would like to learn more about Park Forest.

The goal of the ambassadors is to assist with building a stronger community and improving the quality of life for Park Forest residents. Ambassadors provide a direct contribution to making Park Forest a better place to live. If you are looking to make a difference in your community, please apply.

Ambassadors meet once a month on the third Monday at 6:30 p.m. and are asked to commit to an appointment of two years.

Role of an Ambassador
A Park Forest Ambassador is a volunteer position that incorporates residents in community activities and new resident recruitment efforts.

Ambassadors assist prospective residents and investors interested in learning more about Park Forest by answering questions, providing resources, or by sharing personal Park Forest experiences.

Presence at Events

Ambassadors are Park Forest residents who represent the Village of Park Forest in various recruitment venues such as expos, college and university open houses, visitors’ conferences, and other special events in various areas of the Southland and Greater Chicago area. Limited travel may be needed if the Ambassadors’ schedules allow. The Village of Park Forest also hosts many special events where ambassador presence is needed, including, but not limited to:
  • Downtown Midsummer Madness
  • New Resident Receptions
  • Safe Halloween
  • Wine and Chocolate Tastings

Assisting with Events
